This is the second time I have made this, and it turned out just as scrumptious as the first!
Here’s how you make it-
10 dates, take out the pit and dice
1/3 cup boiling water- pour over the dates, let it soak for a few hours… or if you’re not that patient, like me 😉 , microwave for 45 seconds and let it cool for a few minutes; repeat two more times so the dates are nice and juicy and there is little to no remaining water. Put the dates in the food processor and start pureeing!
1 1/2 cups coconut oil – The trick is to only add 1/2 cup first and get the dates pureed completely in it. Then add the spices, puree to smooth again, and then add the last cup in a few batches.
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of chili powder
pinch of cayenne
Puree it on high, this will whip some air into it. Pour onto a silicon mat or wax paper and spread to an inch thick. Refrigerate, break into pieces, share and enjoy!
